DD's ultra sound shows all the organs okay. But, would this show a hiatal hernia? Symptoms; upper left abdomen pain, a stitch sting severe in the tummy, she feels something more then the abdomen wall to her, sensitivity when the doctor presses the upper left and mid section.

Ruled out ovarian cyst as the issue, not related to cycle, doctor advises maybe constipation as a lot of gas ie) belching. Wrong area for gall bladder. She is regular, but has had a small fissure tear recently.

It is positional, twisting to roll or reach, standing or walking a period of time.

Do you think an upper GI is needed at this point or try the dried fruit, juices and some Mallox?

Age is 16, taking Paxil, she does have terrible cramps every other month. Crying rocking with pain.

Any thought?

If she has that much pain, I would take her to the ER. An ultrasound probably wouldn't pick up a hiatal hernia. Her symptoms sound too severe for a hiatal hernia anyway.

I would go to a Gastro and get her a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. If she is rolling around in pain, I would certainly go to the ER.

You have to keep getting tests until you find the cause.

As far as a hiatal hernia, can't really say. You need a gastro doc for that kind of a diagnosis.

Could be lots of things...ulcers, heart problems, muscular. Go to a Gastroenterologist immediately. However, if she is in severe pain (rolling, rocking, crying?) you go to the ER.
