Getting close... wish me luck... 4 more days 'til I visit BWV w/ my mobility impaired sister. We're getting her an ECV from Walker (thanks again for that help).

Seems, however, I forgot about her progressive compression leg pumps (boot like setup that keeps fluid from her legs). She'll be flying and I'll be driving... so if I take them down she would be without them for a few days. She doesn't want to fly with them for fear they would get lost and she would be without for the week. So, I would like to try to rent them for her to avoid that problem.

I see the three ECV rental places say they have other equipment so I'll check w/ them... but, if they don't, could you suggest other suppliers...

thanks again....

Dale

You should be able to get some from
Care Medical:
http://www.caremedicalequipment.com/

Walker Mobility:
1-888-726-6837
www.walkermobility.com

Colonial Medical
http://www.colonialmed.com/about_cms.html

You'd have to call them to check since 2 of the companies don't have search functions. It would be best if your siser can tell you the brand name/model number and I think there is probably a size involved in them. I don't know if you would need a prescription for renting them or not.
Another option would be for her to carry them on the airplane instead of checking them. They should count as assistive/medical equipment that would not count toward her carry on baggage allowance.

Good luck and have a great time.
