HI

Thanks to Hal over on the Dibb for spotting this.

Disney have a special rate on their August Med cruise for UK guest. It has to be a new booking. The code to enter is MEO

In the early hours of this morning (5am) I was pricing up cabins for my already booked and paid for cruise and found that I could save $260.00 by cancelling my cruise and re-booking.

I therefore contacted my TA at dreams, who has now done this. So if anyone else in the UK has booked, check your prices. The 11B isn't showing on the system now, but I bet in the early hours of tomorrow morning, they will be showing again, so keep checking. Now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that my TA will get me my old cabin back. But if not, no worries and I'll put up with it.

Great discount hope someone can use it.
Just priced up for 2 people
Saving on 6th & 13th August it knocked off £600 down to £1,313
On the 20th Sailing knocked off £300

i just played around with the pricing - the code dropped the price by about 30%! i'm seriously considering it now..

seen these discounts on the june cruise too but gone now
might show up again
I was able to get the GTY deal that is there at the monment which is the same deal as the Uk one

Just contacted my Dreams agent too, asking to do the same thing as you heatherbelle. Was it easy enough?

:goodvibes

Thanks for the heads up. Just contacted our T.A in the U.S and have moved reservation from cat 11c to 11b and saved $80 or £50. We are now paying approx £650 each for our cruise. Having been on several 3 and 4 night cruises before we consider this a bargain. Can't wait:banana::banana::banana:

Thanks again

The agent reserved a new cabin for me that is on hold for three days. She has contacted Disney, who are now moving the booking. She said that it will take longer than normal because I have paid the cruise in full ( I did this when the dollar hit 1.60, even though its not due yet :rolleyes1). My TA hasn't been in touch today yet, so I don't know if its all sorted. She was going to ask Disney if I could have the same cabin, which was a 11B, so we will see. The one I have doesn't have great reviews, so if I can't get the one I had, I will then ask her to move me to something else, once the money has been moved over etc.

My dreams agent did say that were looking through all UK bookings to see if it was cheaper for anyone. But at first she said it wasn't any cheaper when I sent my e-mail, it was only when I checked myself and told her the price, that she sorted it out. I've looked again and there are no 11B's left on 20/08, but that was around 8.30 this morning. If we do another cruise, I'll definately be using an american TA, a UK one wouldn't do all this for you.

Cornish Pixie aI think we may be on the same ship.

Edit - Dreams have now confirmed everything transfered, refund on its way and I am in the same cabin as before, so a result. Now fingers crossed for a free upgrade as the ship will probably be half empty or further discounts.

Hi Heatherbelle I think we are sailing on the same cruise:goodvibes.
Thanks so much for the heads up . Hubbie contacted our TA earlier as we had a 11c cat and was explaining that the 11b's were now cheaper then when we originally booked he couldn't get us a price on the 11c as they were gone and was a little reluctant to change saying we had a good deal to start with . For us it's a no brainer the 11b is cheaper than the 11c so can we have a 11b cat please. We were exactly like yourselves and had to go through the price we paid and what it was now so he then said he would sort it.
We saved $80 from our original price $80 will go towards something else Palo perhaps:goodvibes.
Anyway once again thank you like you said I doubt an english TA would do it and I suppose in fairness they will loose a little but like everyone we work hard and every penny counts.
Are you spending any time in Barcelona Before or after your cruise?
We used our Tesco's vouchers to book the Barcello for a few days so am really excited about spending some time after the cruise there.
We fly in the day before what about you?
Take Care

My Dreams agent is trying to sort this for me and get me changed to apply the discount but at the minute Disney aren't playing ball. I don't really want to cancel and rebook with Disney as, so far, Dreams service can't be beat! Couldn't imagine how long it would take to get any correspondence going with Disney regarding any issues (see the trouble people had with the Sept cruise cancellation) but £120 price difference isn't to be sniffed at :(

I don't see why Disney won't play ball, as both Cornish and I have managed to get re-booked and get a refund in my case.

Cornish, have you been over to the Dibb, there is a thread running for those on the 20th sailing. I'm scarecrow on there. We fly out the day before. I too am an avid Tesco point collector, but couldn't get the hotel, no availabilty when i rang, when did you book it, and for how many nights. We fly home same day as the cruise, as hubby wants to paint the house.

There is also a trip thread over on the cruise page on here and a lot of the people on there are also on the Dibb. We've got a tee-shirt, lanyards, wristbands and an FE exchange if you want to join any. There is also a facebook page too.

Apparently the loophole that allowed them to sort out yours has been closed and Disney now insist it's only for UK travel agents :(

Pretty annoying but hopefully my agent and Disney can thrash it out to save cancelling and rebooking :(

:goodvibes Am going to go and check out the Dibb as we speak.
Couldn't use our tesco vouchers for the first night pre cruise at the barcello ravel but used vouchers for the barcello sants ( by the main station ) and then staying at the Barcello ravel for 3 nights after cruise again with tesco vouchers.
Booked it i think around september ish give or take a few weeks.
Speak soon

Hi all,
Haven't been on these boards for ages but just booked July 9th med cruise :goodvibes -wanted to point out that the MEO UK resident discount is also available for that cruise -luckily popped up just when I was booking- would have been a good discount but I decided to upgrade for less than my original quote instead!:rotfl:

From what I have read over on the DIBB its also working on the WBTA, so I wonder if it will work on any date! Maybe peeps need to check for their own dates.

From reading the terms and conditions there is no mention that it has to be a UK TA. The deal is for UK residents, so for those having problems, I would try and again and point out the terms and conditions. Otherwise there is no incentive for us to book early.

Hi Heatherbelle have just popped over to the dibb to say hi

there are discounts on my cruise (july 30th too) but only on veranda rooms (works out at $200 cheaper each than current price) ... I'm in an inside cabin so no saving there for me! Still I was happy with the price I paid last year, and the prices went up considerably after I booked (in fact I just checked - it would be $600 more now) so still feel I got a good deal

I think there may be further offers to come, so keep checking, it seems to me the ships are quite light on passenger numbers from the chat on other threads, and that's not just Disney, its all cruise lines.
