I believe I know answer is there is nothing that you can do but story is:

My son bought ticket on Allegiant (yes I know but we’ve flown before with no issues) from Indianapolis to Phoenix. Flight was to leave 730pm 12/18. At 730 they announced mechanical issue- medical emergency on last flight and oxygen tank needs to be filled.

830pm board and sit and sit- taken off plane and told Indy has no oxygen and they have to drive in from Cincinnati. This is a 2 hour drive. Next time given 1115 pm departure- comes and goes then 130am departure.

So he’s sitting and waiting. Any compensation he can get or ask for. Of course they only fly Monday and Friday one flight daily.

Go read the airlines contract of carriage. It should be on their web site. I take he eventually go where he was going? If so then just let it go.

Yes he arrive 6hours late but made it safely! I did just pull up Allegiant contract like you said- they don’t have to do anything for your for mechanical issues.

Dropping it as he got there and thankfully didn’t cancel which they could have done. Wouldn’t use Allegiant credit anyway. Lesson after he returns home on Allegiant...DONT FLY ALLEGIANT!

Glad it worked out. All airlines do pretty much the same thing for mechanical issues. The real problem with Allegiant, Spirit, Frontier are the limited number of flights. If one gets cancelled then you could get stuck for days. I won't fly them either.

Learned from older son we can fly from Chicago on American or United lots cheaper and more flight options. This is in basic Economy and for college kids perfect because they travel light and don’t care where they sit

Reason alone for NEVER flying with them. I don't care if you fly 1000 times without issue. It only takes one for it to be disastrous to your plans.

Glad he got where he was going relatively close to original time. For this airline.

Looks like OP got the answers she expected. So, this one is done.
