Can you just put them in the crockpot or do you have to bake them first? :confused3

I don't know, but they look good.

I would bake them- there might be too much moisture in the crockpot and they might not hold together.

If your cooking them in sauce it may get greasy. I always bake or fry them first.

I never bake them first. Just throw them in the crockpot with the sauce. :thumbsup2

I'm talking about raw meatballs not cooked. If they are cooked its fine. I do frozen cooked too.

So I won't kill myself from food poisoning? Good to know. :rotfl: I never made homemade meatballs before, this is my first time. I always buy frozen pre-cooked ones.

I've put them in frozen.

Were they store bought frozen or homemade frozen? The store bought ones are already cooked so they'll be fine. Homemade ones will break apart when you take them out plus they'll be lacking a bit in flavor without the browning.

Crap, too late.

Well let us know how they turn out. Maybe they'll be fine! Are they Italian meatballs or Swedish or something else? Not that it matters- just trying to figure out what I should make for dinner!

you can just put them in the crockpot or stove top pot raw. They will cook up just fine. :lmao:

It never crossed my mind that we could be discussing fresh homemade meatballs. :lmao:

They're Italian homemade meatballs, and I put them in the crockpot uncooked.

It's the only way I cook mine. You'll be fine.

I hope.
