Mears??

If we use Mears from the airport to POFQ, do we have to reserve in advance or just buy tickets when we arrive at the airport? Do we reserve the return at the same time?

When you arrive at MCO, just head to the lower levels (baggage claim & outside transportation). Mears has a desk on this level. Just go to the counter and buy your RT tickets. For the return trip, call Mears from your resort 24 hrs. ahead of time to schedule a pickup.

I've used Mears solo or just 2 of us, but if there is more in your family you might want to look into a limo!!!

We'll have 4 adults and 3 kids in our party. Would we all fit in a cab? Where would we find one? Would a van service be better for our size?

I have to agree with the poster about the LONG waits for MEARS to transport. The same thing happened to us. They waited til they had a van filled before we left.

Once we reserved a towncar and just this last time (dec, 2003) we just took a cab. It was quicker then waiting til the MEARS van filled up.

We wont go that route again.

This is especially hard in the summer time! We did that once in the end of June (my dd dance group performed then) and we wont do it again. It was horrible waiting and waiting for our name to be called! Never again.

You could not pay me to use Mears. If I did not rent a car, I would most definitely look into a limo service or a taxi.
I dislike being crammed into a van with a bunch of other people.
