Hi everyone
This Friday will be mine and my D.F first trip to DWD and we have booked and are flying with Virgin, and instead of using the M.E it says that we will be traveling to and from Disney with mears transportation. Has anyone used them before? What are they like? And how do we go about travling back to the airport at the end of our holiday?

What airport are you flying into and what resort are you staying at?

From MCO to any Disney's resort and back, you can use Magical Express, and all procedures except for checking bags at the resort going home work the same way for any airline. Magical Express does not serve any other airports e.g. Sanford, Tampa.

Mears' Shuttle serve non-Disney's resort guests and has counters on both sides of the MCO main terminal building, I think, on the carousel level (#2, middle). You would buy a ticket there and they send you out to the curb at the proper place to get their bus or van. You call from the resort the day before to schedule a ride back. Like Magical Express rides, Mears' shuttle requres that you be punctual.

If you are staying at an actual Disney resort, you should be able to use DME for your transfers. Mears actually operates DME under contract to Disney, so it's possible that's where the confusion is. I'm pretty sure that the there are no non-DME Mears shuttles to Disney-owned and operated resorts any more.
