Has anyone taken Mears from their Disney Hotel to get to Universal? There are only two of us, and can't justify a $65 + tip towncar ride to Universal when we can pay $28 total on Mears.

I know Mears gets mixed reviews all the time, so looking for some feedback.

Just curious, is $28 roundtrip for 2? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure Mears from WDW to Universal is $14 per person round trip. So yes--$28 for two.

Hello!

I used Mears a couple of times for attraction transfers to USO on my last trip with no problems. As far as I can tell they are the cheapest way to go. I would certainly use them again.

I have used Mears a couple of times in the past and they have been wonderful. They are the cheapest and convenient.
We are planning on using them again when we go in two weeks.

I asked about Mears last summer and at that time, it cost approx $30 per person so we decided to go with a towncar service. Has Mears gotten less expensive since then?

We used Mears from disney to universal in 2002, and it was $12pp then round trip. We plan to use them again next Feb. We absolutely have to take our son to IOA and we don't want to rent a car. Mears was easy to use. They picked us up at BC, went to Sea World first and then dropped us at Universal. We just called an hour before we wanted to go back, and we caught the shuttle back!

That sounds more like what they charge from the airport to the hotels, not from WDW to Universal.
I've always been told about $14 per person round trip between WDW and US.

Just called Mears two days ago and the price from POP to Universal is $14 a person.

It seems like the prices are less, probably because of people like me who tell everyone to rent the car instead.
Doing that gives you total freedom to visit SWF, I-Drive, the grocery store, and visit BGT for Sheikra.
Yes, you'll pay for parking, and gas, but the convience is worth it.
