Mears shuttle to the airport

I have two questions about Mears transportation.
:confused:
1- Can we call Mears at anytime during day or night to confirm our journey back to the airport the day after?
2- How long before the flight will Mears want us ready at the hotel to pick us up?
It would really help to know how all this will work. I tried to go on the Mears site, but all I found was photos of the airport and of the Mears counter... I'm sure you'll be more helpful! ::yes::
 
I believe Mears is open 24 hours. So you can call at any time to confirm your travel arrangements.

We used them 2 years ago (the last time we were in Disney). I believe they picked us up at our resort 3 hours before our flight was scheduled to take off. Honestly, I'm not sure how flexible they are about that, I just told them our flight time & that was when they wanted to come get us.

You can call Mears at anytime. Dial 0 from your room phone, and the operator can connect you. Or, you can call them at 407-423-5566. I recommend calling the night before, however, you can call up to 6 hours prior to your flight time, give or take.

Mears will want to pick you up about 3 hours prior to your flight time. The reason for this is that OIA asks that you get there at least 2 hours prior to your flight for domestic flights. Tack on 30 minutes for travel time, and potentially another 30 minutes since the bus/van might make additional stops. Also, because of this, the shuttle could potentially run a few minutes behind schedule.

Each resort will have a pre-set pickup time. For example, at Pop Century, Mears will pick up at :20 and :50 past the hour. Depending on your airline, and the airlines of other already scheduled passengers, they might put you on either one of the pickups.

Mears asks that you get to the pickup location 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick up time. This is so that you'll have plenty of time to get your luggage from Bell Services/Luggage Assistance, and get everything all ready. If everyone is all ready to go, the coach can come in, load up, and GO. However, there are many times when guests aren't ready, or haven't even gotten thier bags yet, and it causes the coach to be late to other stops.
 
Just be careful! We paid for a round trip ride when we arrived last May and we called the night before like they told us to confirm the time they would be picking us up at WL to bring us back to the airport they told us 2 1/2 hours before and needless to say they NEVER showed up!! The CM call 1 1/2 before our flight and mears said we are on our way well they never came we had to call a Taxi and pay 50.00 more to get to the airport with two small children. We nearly missed our flight it was a mess. The CM at the WL said he sees this all the time with Mears. Mears would not reimburse us for the taxi but they refunded our money for the round trip ticket and a coupon to use next trip well Sorry I would never trust them again!! Sorry to say all this but I would hate for you to get stuck like we did. I hear Tiffany Car service is about the same price check them out.

It must have been really annoying!:( But I don't have the choice now, since I bought the trip with Mears when I made my reservation months ago. I'll just hope real hard that I'll be lucky!

Mears transports thousands of people daily... and the vast majority of the time, they do it just fine. Every once in a blue moon, there will be a delay, or a bus fills up and doesn't finish the route. In the rare case that there is a goof, I know my cast members and myself have always been very proactive in making sure the guest gets taken care of.
