I think it depends on what you factor in to the cost. I would figure in not only the fare but time and trouble. It would also depend on the makeup of my party. Lynx is cheapest but you work on their schedule. Mears or any other private transportation company is more expensive but they work on your schedule. As much as I like to save money if I was traveling with a group of 6 I would rather fork over the cost of a personal shuttle to another park. Door to door service! I would opt for the easiest, most relaxing method while I was on vacation even if the $ cost was higher.

If Mears charges per person I'd investigate towncar services.

A taxi! Once you have that number of people, Mears or similar is not cost effective because you are paying per-person. Have the front desk call you a cab that will fit six (they'll send a mini-van-type vehicle) and you'll get door-to-door service at its least expensive! It's also NO problem picking up a cab for the return trip -- if there isn't a large vehicle already waiting in the pick-up line, a driver will radio for one for you.
