When I was planning our trip I looked for information on Mears a lot, as had previously only used Disney operated service. Sharing our recent experience to help others.
We arrived on a 10pm flight from Australia into Terminal B. We didn’t prebook Mears as on all our previous trips things went wrong on our flights and we never arrived as planned. Not prebooking was not an issue.
After a long wait for our luggage (about six AA flights all had their luggage on one carousel - craziness ensued but our luggage did appear eventually), we took the elevator to level 1 for Mears. I thought there would be better signage but we didn’t see any, we just instinctively went down. On exiting the elevator, signs were everywhere and easy to find (just turned left).
We approached counter said we didn’t have a reservation, we were lead to a computer kiosk and shown how to book (5 minutes at most), booked - only slow part we needed an American phone number and we had to look it up - without that it would have taken a minute.
We were then Directed to a queue for POR, immediately put in a large van with two other families. We left airport within about 10 minutes of arriving at Mears. All people in van were at POR so we went directly there, at most 30 minute trip with Alix as driver, very safe driver.
Could not have been happier with our experience, all was brilliant, no issues - just as smooth as previous experience we had with Disney - in fact better as we got a van not bus, and didn’t have to go to 3-4 other resorts so fast trip.
