Mears bus to Universal??

Has anyone used the mears buses to get to Universal while staying inside of disney. We are staying @ POR but we have never been to Universal so we thought we might check it out. My TA said i could use Mears? Anyone ever done this before? when do i call mears, and what time do they pick us up and drop us back at POR? Thanks


We also want to do SeaWorld? Any suggestions on how to get there?

LYNX bus from MK transport HUB direct to Sea World, $2 per person, cheap, public transport. With small kids, I'd say, use Mears instead. It is not like Disney transport, BUT public busing, filled with working people, noise, ,music etc....It is rather direct though so simple (though when we did it, they dropped us in the employee LOT not at the front gate, a Longish walk and we did not know where the heck we were!) Pick up is across a fairly busy street. Like I said, with older or no kids, okay with little ones, I would skip it.

I would never recommend taking the Lynx bus to US....either use Mears or get a towncar (or cab) but not Lynx. You have to make a transfer and that is one transfer too many for me.
I have taken the Lynx bus to SW though. I'm not sure if the driver was told there were folks going to SW or not, but we also got dropped off way down the street from the main parking lot...took about 10 extra minutes to get to the park itself. But, the street we had to cross going back to our resort wasn't all that bad at all. I've crossed much worse streets right here in my hometown!! Taking the bus to SW isn't a big deal.

But to get to US/IoA, I would either take Mears, at about $19 pp, r/t, get a rental car for the day (pay for rental, gas and parking), towncar service or a cab....the towncar will run about $60-70, plus tip. If you have 4 people going, a towncar service makes more sense. We have three going and we've booked a car service. Much nicer to go when we want and return when we want, in comfort. It's worth the little bit extra.

Do you know the schedule times for the pick up and drop offs for DW to SW? or where to find them...ive been to the mears web site and couldnt find any information! Thanks in advance!
