It's back to work for Lauri today! Ack!

Had a great day yesterday - Matt and I took Reilly (affectionately nicknamed "goober") to the mall that opened in Richmond last fall that allows dogs.

He thinks shopping is the greatest thing since the invention of knotted rawhide! This dog actually shops. He looks at each display, moves on to the next aisle and starts all over again.

His favorite thing about shopping though is "meeting and greeting". He loves to come up to people or other dogs and say hi. He actually gives each of them about 15 seconds of his time until he backs off and starts browsing again. It's like "Hi, how are you. Nice to meet you. Well I need to get back to shopping". He's just too cute

Well.. enough about my goober - on to the question of the day

"Where is your favorite type of store to shop in?"

I do most of my shopping at grocery stores but I love shopping for shoes, pocketbooks and Yankee Candles!

I go a good amount of shopping online too.

I put books stores, but I love going to the disney store, even if I am just browsing.

This is tough. I love Target so that would be my favorite but usually after going to Target we go across the street to Borders and I really do love bookstores, too.

This was a tough choice because I do love to shop. Although, Target gets the edge because I'm there at least once a week... so I guess it must be my favorite.

However... book stores, Hallmark stores, and pet stores all run a close second. They all have high dollar potential for me. I have enough Hallmark ornies to decorate several trees... and yet each July finds me making the rounds of the local Hallmarks, adding to my collection.

And and and... I love the Disney store! And I wish we had a local doll shop that carried Tonner dolls (Tyler, Sydney, Tiny Kitty).

Lauri, I think it's cool that you can take your dog shopping. The only stores around here that allow that are PetSmart and PetCo. Max (our Schnauzer) barks at EVERYONE in the store. He's a little on the mouthy side. Typical Schnauzer!

I try to do as much on-line shopping as I can. I still have to go to the grocery store, etc. but it isn't one of my things that I enjoy.

You asked whats your favorite.... I voted Hallmark stores. I spend hours in there even when I just went in for cards.

Now if you asked which kind of store do I frequent most often it would have been Department!

I love browsing the china department the best, closely followed by books!

I chose other. The Disney Store is the only store I don't mind shopping at. It's not really a toy or a department or a clothes store in my mind. It's my magic store.

since I work in grocery stores, thats the last place I want to be when I am not working. (when I got this job I thought it would be fun to be in 15 different grocery stores a week, how could I have been so wrong!!) I voted Dept stores, (love Target) but to be honest, I really don't like to shop much anymore. I like online shopping now.

Ohhh, that was hard. I love Target, but I also LOVE to food shop especially since I discovered Wegmans this weekend, what a store!!

I voted other: I enjoy shopping at Department stores like Dillards, but find myself in discount department stores.

Definitely the arts and crafts stores for me, especially if they're specialized towards the particular art or craft I'm interested in right now (like cross stitch )

Followed by big bookstores -- the type like Barnes & Noble or Borders, not the smaller ones in the malls.

Well, I put down grocery store, because that's the only shopping I do...but I do it at a SuperTarget.

I prefer to shop in higher end dept stores (Lord & Taylor, Saks, Filene's) or specialty stores like the Gap, Gymboree, etc.

Hallmark! The one I could walk to closed, so I've been bummed. I found a new favorite nearby though.... They don't carry puzzles though. It's almost perfect.....

I have to vote department stores...clothing stores would be my second choice! But I'm definitely a Target shopper. I like being able to get many different things in one place. And I found the greatest jeans there on sale for $17 a pair!!! Wooooooo hoooooooooooooooo!

I voted for stores like Target----I love that store.

I also can get into serious trouble at Costco.

And my third favorite is a nicer department store like Macy's or Meier and Frank.

Online shopping for me. Friends used to complain that all I ever wanted to do was SHOP! Even used to try and plan vacations in cities that offered exciting shopping along with great places to eat. Well, I do live in Central Florida and over the years the traffic has gotten heavier due to all the Snow Birds and happy tourists. Much as we enjoy all these folks, it does make for a traffic nightmare at times. Has just become easier to sit in front of a computer and not worry about backed up cars and no place to park. Works for me!!!
