Ahhhh Friday!

Good morning DISers!

It's another friday - January 2004 is coming quickly to a close. Where the heck is the year going already?

Yesterday we were graced with a forcast that started out with "rain sat. night and Sunday" to "rain mixed with flurries Sat. and Sun." to "Some accumulation Sat and Sun" to "Better hit the stores, this could be a big one Sat. and Sun". *sigh*

Bad thing is, they are only right maybe 20% of the time so you never know when to trust them! I didn't for the blizzard of 2000 and ended up with 24 inches of snow in a town that freaks out when the ground looks like a powdered donut..

Anyhow... on that line of thinking - here is today's question

"What is your favorite thing to do when it snows?"

SNOW!!! WHAT'S SNOW!!!!?????

I had to go with it's always warm & sunny cause we don't get snow:(

Sitting inside and watching it come down outside - I'll skip the hot chocolate and movie for a good 1000 piece puzzle at the dining room table, a nice Yankee Candle burning, and looking out the sliding glass door at the winter wonderland.

This is only fun if you don't have to get up and go to work the next day! :p

I vote for sitting inside. I hate snow. I dread the day my daughter is big enough to want to play in the snow. My husband works for the highway dept. so he is always working when it snows. Guess who's gonna have to take her out to play in it? Ugh, I hope she hates the snow like I do.

sitting inside!!

My DD (age 21) still likes making snow angels :teeth: She has been known to stop on her way to class and drop in the snow to make one .....cold and wet the rest of class, but she loves it!

I vote for sitting inside with a warm drink while others enjoy being outside in the cold.:D

I voted for sitting inside watching it snow.

I'll be out there making snow angels! :teeth: I love making them, and they look so cool! :)

Had enough snow before I was married. Lived in DC, Va, Pa, Del and Northern NY. I like not having any snow to deal with now.

When we actually get snow, it's only a few inches and lots of ice. We watch all the locals run to the store and grab every gallon of milk, water. and deplete all the bread. You'd think they were going to get snowed in! LOL!

I just love watching snow fall, especially at night. There's something serene in the way the snow drifts down.

I picked making igloos. DS and I have made some great snow igloos in the past. We haven't gotten enough snow in quite some time to do this though. We're still hoping for one good one here on the Cape. Then after we have built the fort for the neighborhood kids to play in it can all melt!

I've seen snow twice in my whole life since I live in the Sunshine State. But I did have fun sledding and making snow angels and snow men when I went to Michigan a couple of years ago.

I voted Fun? What snow is fun?! I hate to shovel...then "Plowman" comes and pushes it all back into the driveway...even though there is no more snow in the street! GRRRR! Last year DH got so mad at "Plowman", that he threw the shovel at the plow! Did you ever see a piece of metal turn into a toothpick in seconds?

:sunny: I don't get to play in the snow.
