Hi, everyone.

Yes, I made sure to hold a couple of days of doing useless polls for myself. Actually, I had a pretty good response from those who had offered to substitute that I wondered if there would be any days left for me.

Update on Lauri -- she got to Orlando fine on Tuesday. The flight actually arrived about 15 minutes early, she said (probably thanks to so many other flights delayed or cancelled). Unfortunately, AirTran wasn't kind to her luggage -- the big suitcase she checked was damaged. As much as I've flown in the past and as much as the two of us had flown to WDW since getting married, we've had surprisingly good luck with luggage not getting damaged, so I guess we couldn't dodge that bullet for too much longer. Of course, as compensation AirTran gave her a voucher for lunch and a whole $25 credit toward a future flight.

She's met up with a friend of ours for the Disney pin celebration this week at Epcot, and yesterday was their first full day at the parks. I've been informed that (a) we will always stay at the Swan whenever we go to WDW because the beds there are SOOOOOOOO comfortable, and (b) she's trading pins with CMs at a pretty fast clip and I may have to overnight her some more.

Okay, poll topic time! While looking over our DVDs to get an idea, I came across "Blazing Saddles", which I haven't seen in a while and is now on my short list of movies to watch while Lauri's out of town. So here's my topic -- "What is your favorite Mel Brooks movie?"

Putting on flame retardant suit........

Never been a big Mel Brooks fan... Sorry:o

I've never been a big Mel Brooks fan, but Space Ballsis one of my favorite movies! (Probably because DS got me turned on to Star Wars when he was 2!)

I have to say, though, that "Young FRON-ken-steen" is pretty funny too. :teeth:

'Scuse me while I whip this out.

Blazing Saddles

Best
Comedy
Ever.

For some reason, that cracked me up.:teeth: I'm glad Lauri's having fun.:)

I chose other. I've never seen all of any of the movies listed (haven't seen any of some of them), and I'm drawing a blank on any other of his movies that I might've watched.:scratchin I'm not in the "not a fan" category, I'm just not a good movie watcher sometimes.:o

That is too funny! Glad she arrived okay...except for the luggage...and is apparently having a great time! :)

I've never seen any of these movies. Hmmmmmmmmm. I'm not much of a movie watcher any way I guess. Give me the 1/2 hour sit coms. :teeth:

History of the world Part 1 without a doubt! ::yes::

I would like to quote the Bea Arthur & Mel Brooks exchange about what a (stand up) philosopher truly is but I cannot bypass the swear filter. ;) You will just have to rent it sometime. :)

Bouncing this back up.

MAC3, don't worry about any flames from me. I know everything isn't for everyone and it's all a matter of personal tastes. :)

DITTO!!

Although DH is and would pick either Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein. He loves them, but I fail to see the humor (sorry).
