Well here we go again - deja ve (sp?) It's a saturday, we are trying to have a yard sale (Yard Sale 2, The Sequel - You Mean We Still Have STUFF LEFT?!?), I'm up obnoxiously early, Matt's out putting up signs and it's raining out. Could I possibly have a Saturday off where it doesn't rain???

Oh, good morning everyone :) Excuse my rambling and ranting :)

So it's the weekend.. any big plans? Cookouts? Vacations? Becoming a tubar vegetable on your couch?

The later sounds good to me!

Well, on to today's question!

"Which of the more modern (last 20 yrs)Disney movies is your favorite?"

Well, you did ASK what I'm doing this weekend, right??

I'm driving to Disney!! We'll be leaving in a few hours, staying around the North-South Carolina border tonight and pulling into the Beach Club Villas around 5 - 7 PM tomorrow evening.

I'll miss the polls every day, Lauri, and your humor! Know that I'm taking you and all my DIS friends with me in spirit, for you are all a cherished part of me now! :grouphug:

I voted for the Lion King - most unique story, amazing colors, songs that stick with you and stand on their own merit, interesting characters. Truly a classic movie - animated or not!

good luck with your sale! I voted Beauty and the Beast. The dance scene still is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The first time I saw it was on a Large Movie screen, and it took my breath away, I had never seen animation so beautiful.

I had to vote for the Lion King since I saw this on my first date with my now husband. That was almost 10 years ago to the day, too (it was actually 4th of july weekend!)

I can never decide between Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast or Aladdin. Its a 4 way tie for me. ;)

Lion King is one of the very few movies that I could watch over and over and never tire of.

Headed to the in-laws for the day and tomorrow is laundry and packing day because....I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD !!!!:bounce:

My favorite is The Little Mermaid.
DH's favorite is Aladdin.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Beauty and the Beast, it's always been my favorite since I was little :). First Disney movie I actually obsessed over...

Tink

The Lion King is my favorite, with Beauty and the Beast and Mulan tied for second (I know you didn't ask for second favorite... but Mulan doesn't even have one vote :( ).

To you folks headed to WDW this weekend... wish I was going with y'all! Have safe trips and enjoy. :sunny:

We're having trees a storm blew down removed today. :( Other than that, we're just hanging out and watching the Olympic diving trials on TV.

Good luck with your yard sale, Lauri!

This was a hard choice as I love both Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. I ended up voting for B&B mostly because I remember how I felt right after the entire opening 'number'....I wanted to stand up and cheer! It felt like I had just witnessed a live broadway performance. I felt like this one started setting new standards for all those that followed....and Lion King sure met those....that music makes me verklempt.

Beauty and the Beast :)

I hope your sale goes well, Lauri! :teeth: We have gorgeous weather today over here. I hope it floats over to you.

I voted for Beauty & the Beast even though it was a tough decision. The stage musical is a big favorite too which helped me decide. Another favorite of mine is Pocahontas. This movie gets slammed a lot but I really love the music and story as inaccurate as it may be.

Good luck with Yard Sale II. You're a brave lady.
