Good morning everyone!

Back to work for me (and for most of us I assume!) Never ceases to amaze me how fast the weekends are and how fast the weekdays are.

*sigh*

My mom is still in the hospital. No good news yet. She is still completely out of it I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers yesterday. They mean so much.

On to today's poll topic. It's a quick and easy one.

"What is your favorite form of non face to face communication with friends and family?"

Telephone. I talk MUCH faster than I can type.

in the uk we use text on our cell phones all the time. it's great for when you need to say something but don't want to get into a full blown conversation!

I hate having to carry on a conversation over the phone. I rather talk to family or friends face to face.
Of course since I don't know anyone on the DIS personally, than it is easy talking over the internet.

I chose other. Voicemail. Kinda like the telephone, but I'd rather leave a message and have them call me back, that way I don't forget why I called.

Text messaging. This is probably the most common method of communicating among the deaf and hard of hearing. It is somewhat like IM but on a cell type phone or a text pager system.
Actully my Sidekick allows me to Text message, IM and email as well as talk on the phone (which is very difficult unless it is a person I know)

Telephone...except for my sister. When it comes to her, I prefer e-mail.

You don't want to know how many hours I've spent on it this summer. I HATE using the phone. I'm honestly scared of the thing. But I can spend hours talking to the same person on IM. Go figure.
