Hello again,

I was wondering if anyone knew the significance of the names of the two new pools, E-Ticket and D-Ticket and what the difference is?

It sounds to me like historic Disneyland (d ticket) vs. modern Disneyland (e ticket)?

But I really have no idea. The names sound like a strange choice to me.

Thanks everyone!

:) :) :)

I would suggest that the contemporary meaning is a new attraction that everyone will love forever is an E ticket, while one that doesn't live upto the critics will be called a D ticket.

So while everyone would call Indy an E ticket. Nemo subs, a traditional E ticket, now loved by some, easily passed up by others, is often called a D ticket attraction.

I think, although I could be wrong, that the OP is asking about the pools - and why one would be called the D-Ticket not what E-ticket and D-ticket means.

And I have no clue,

I still remember our kitchen junk drawer stuffed with all those extra A-D tickets. Never had enough E's! :)

In that case, it probably has to do with the E-ticket pool, though not a pool the monorail slides with the splash play area at the base. The Monorail itself was an E ticket attraction. The D ticket pool is the new plunge pool. It's 4 feet Deep.

Will the Neverland pool become the C-ticket pool?

Thank you Disney Dreams!

It's true, I am asking about the naming of the pools.
Although, every reply actually helps answer the question.
I guess the tickets were just way before my time.
I always remember unlimited use of rides.
Well now I know the meaning, they're going with the "bring back historic Disneyland" theme, which is very cool to me.
The names of the pools still seem pretty weird though, for pool names.
They should have an explanatory plaque nearby.

PS: Furb & Dez, the "let me google it for you" thing is hiluuuurious!:rotfl:

Good point, I just looked up that one picture of the concept art, and there are exactly 5 different pools (not including the old hot tub). That's just enough for A-E, and if the slide pool is the E pool, that means it's the coolest pool, and the tiny baby pools will probably be the A and B pools.

But it's really just a guess.

My folks never threw away the A & B tickets, so when the parks went to unlimited attractions I used those tickets to get into Disneyland. I got in five times for free by using those tickets.

There were a LOT of tickets. :)

This would be my guess too. Unless naming the pools after tickets is simply just a clever way of labeling the pools around the property while keeping the retro theme going, my guess would also be that the E-Ticket pool is the biggest and best of the bunch.
