Althought I still find the initial reaction funny. I also think it was carried to far and the video should have been cut off sooner.

This was not funny. I knew what was coming and thought it was just disgusting how that adult kept filming after he saw how upset that child was. If it is true that this was a man tricking his future stepson, I would be having serious second thoughts about marrying the guy if I were that mother.

I fear this is only the beginning of the psychological abuse this boy will have to endure at the hands of this man if his mother goes through with the marriage.
I had the same picture sent to me in an email. I fell for & jumped a mile. I laughed at myself. But to obviously tramatize a child. The man is a bully, plain & simple.

I would consider myself a pretty normal person.

About a year ago one of these "Jump Out at You" things came around through email. Now...I know my kids, and knew how they would react. So I played it for them. Yes, they jumped, but didn't cry at all (they were 6). They thought it was funny!

It totally depends on the kid. Some kids would react as this boy did. Some would think it funny. Every kid is different.

So, I probably am not normal afterall.

But to keep the video tape running after he was noticeably shaken is wrong. And post it all over the internet. That's mean.

Even though I did find it funny, I would be mortified if my parents put my humiliating experience out on the net for anyone to see.
