Hello. I was thinking of getting the DDP but i'm now considering going a cheaper route. I guess i'm going to compare the two. I think if we do the ddp we will eat at places we normally wont eat or try to max out the plan. I normally wont spend $18-$22 on a breakfast buffet. We might treat our selves to 1-2 TS without sharing(dh want to try whispering canyon all u can eat skillet)

Which meals are big enough for two. My 9 year old isnt a big eater so kids meal would be fine for her.

I've read Comis Rays has a chicken/rib meal thats good for two.

Are the sanwhiches at Sandwhich of Earl big enough?

Thanks

At Wolfgang Puck Cafe Exp. the roasted chicken and mashed potatoes are definitely big enough to split, as are their pizzas.

In Epcot, the schwarma platter at Tangerine Cafe is big enough (but more expensive), so it depends on what you want.

Earl of Sandwich meals are quite big. We didnt split as I like totally different food to DH but I was so full afterwards it was ridiculous!

We do usually split a double cheeseburger at Pecos Bill or Electric Umbrella and they are plenty big enough for 2. Apparently you can buy an empty bun for about a dollar more but we just cut it in half.

Popcorn snack will feed 2 as well - why is popcorn so filling?? As will most cakes from Main St Bakery they are HUGE. It took me 3 goes to finish the carrot cake from there.

I like the convenience of the DDP but my bf and I do what you are going to do:

Eat mostly CS and have maybe 1-3 sit down meals. We really don't like having a TS every day. It comes out cheaper if you are there for a week and just do two table services versus getting the dining plan.

I have also found that as an adult- a lot of the kid's counter service meals are great prices and plenty of food. At Typhoon Lagoon, for example, a kid's meal is about $5 and change. You get an entree, 2 sides and a drink! So I would get the hot dog (which is a normal size), a side of fries and grapes and a soda- MORE than enough food. For CS meals, Disney doesn't care if adults buy the kids meals.

My DH and I split almost all of our meals. At CS we usually don't but at TS meals we do. We will get one or two appetizers and then split the entree and dessert. We have done this at CG, Citrocos, Jiko, Flying Fish and most TS restaurants. It really depends on how big of an eater you are and what you get. I find the flatbreads to be very filling, and almost all pasta dishes can be split.

Also, remember that you can split a meal and get an extra side salad or side of fries at CS. I also liked the idea of getting a kid meal.

Have a great time.

Thanks Everyone. The ddp would cost us about
85.97 per day
total for the week 687.76 not including tips
I dont eat threee meals a day and dh will be fine with a snack, simple lunch and a good dinner. DD just depends on her moods but isnt a big eater anyways.

Would love to hear more :)
