Hi All, I'm a first timer due to be on Disney Dream out of Southampton in August 2024. Now I know this is a bit early for me to worry, but I have an alcohol intolerance and that includes it being in food. So when investigating menus I saw a lot of the meals had wine or spirit based sauces. Does anyone know if I could say request the sauces on the side? Or ommit them completely? Otherwise I'd have to pack a large amount of anti sickness and immodium tablets for the duration.

If you tell them
You have allergies in advance they will actually make you sauces that don’t contain alcohol.

Disney takes allergies very seriously. Let your server know the first night that you cannot have anything with alcohol. That will be noted on your record even if you go to a dining room for breakfast or lunch or if you go to an adult restaurant. Your server should let you know which dishes have alcohol and whether they can be adjusted — in most cases, if it’s just a sauce, it can be left out or made specially for you.

There should be a form to fill out to indicate issues as well. It's been a couple years but my kid has a peanut + tree nut allergy. We have filled out/alerted them in advance and then our serving team has been aware. Because the serving team travels with you from one restaurant to the next, they'll be able to continue to help you as you move around.

We are also on a cruise next August on the Dream (Norwegian Fjords) - part of the reason for doing this trip as a cruise rather than a land trip is because of the allergy protocols on DCL.
