Dh and I would love to eat at Le Cellier. Our kids...probably not so much. So here is our idea. Eat without them!! :rotfl: My oldest daughter is 18, my son will be a month from 16 and my youngest daughter will be 12 1/2. I think they are old enough and mature enough to handle being without us for a little while.

But I feel so guilty doing that:guilty: It's a family vacation and we should eat dinner together....right???

I don't know what to do:confused3

Any Thoughts???

Go to dinner alone. If they would prefer to do something else like eat at the park and go on rides they are certainly old enough - althought I would expect the older ones to keep an eye on the 12 yr old. You are both entitled to an evening out. We sent our kids to a kids club on our family vacation and had an adult night. Then took them back to the park for extra magic hours.

Eat, drink and be merry! Your kids will probably want the break from you as much as you will want the break from them. Having an 18yo built-in "sibling sitter" makes things very convenient.

Have you asked the kids? If they are like most kids, they would be THRILLED to be on their own for a few hours.

You could even plan it so that they are also in EPCOT, just off by themselves for a few hours.

I agree, just talk to the kids. I think seeing if they'd like a quicker dinner and an extra ride before meeting back up with you, they'd be thrilled to do it. You could probably even make them believe it was their idea. Enjoy

Thanks everyone!! I will talk to DH about it and see what he says. Actually I'm POSITIVE he'd be all for it! :rotfl:

I'll talk to my oldest and see if she feels comfortable playing "guardian".

I'll let you know how it goes.....

Last August, my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary while in Disney World. We made dinner reservations for just the two of us at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Our daughter (22) and our son (12) took a bus to Downtown Disney, ate at Planet Hollywood and then went to Disney Quest. We made them call us when they got to Downtown Disney When we finished our dinner, we called them and told them we were on our way to meet them.

I think your kids would be fine on their own and would probably even think it's "cool" to go somewhere to eat alone.
