Meal replacement / No food for the day at DL

Laurie what we were both asking was is the PCH Grill busy enough during the day to need ressies or would we be able to walk in and get seated right away.

I opened this thread expecting to read about a diet shake/ diet meal replacement kind of thing, wondering how people cope on holidays when they are living on just diet shakes with all of the food at Disneyland Boy was I wrong!!!!!

That looks absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for posting those photos, we will be heading there for one of those on our visit. YUMMMMMMMMMM

Personally I do not think it gets crowded except maybe on weekends and at dinner. 8 pm and about 15% full so I would say you could walk in or with in a few minutes wait during the day time.

Farrell's!!!!! Ours has been gone since the late 80's I think - it was inside a mall in Phx. But I heard there was one in San Diego..in a strip mall. I wonder if it's worth the trip? Hmmm...

The Farrell's here in San Diego Closed a couple years ago. I took my kids there a week before it closed! Hope it comes to Disney!

Boy, That Kitchen Sink Looks GOOD!!!!!! I'm going to get that for us in 3 weeks when we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, do you guys think I should make us a ressie for this on Wed July 8th? We just want to do the kitchen sink, we will do it before we go to the parks, we are driving down from Nor Cal on the 8th which is DDs bday and I told her we would do her bday meal (we get to pick breakfast, lunch or dinner wherever we want on our bdays but since we are driving I thought it would work better the next day) the day after her bday and thought this would be fun to do when we get there. Then we can just go to the parks after. Thoughts? We will be arriving sometime after 2 I think.......

I really don't think Disney restaurants care WHAT you are going to eat, so the only question of the PS is if they have room for you.

But I think the timing will be determined by what time they open for dinner, b/c I thought it had been determined before that they don't serve lunch? Or maybe they just go from the character b'fast into the normal menu that's being called a dinner menu? It's worth a call to see if there's a time that they are closed, definitely.

Judging by the number of folks who now say they plan to mosey over to PCH Grill and sample a Kitchen Sink for themselves, I think KC10family has just singlehandedly increased the overall business at that restaurant which will probably will draw more people's attention to the PPH as a hotel in general!! They should give you six months of free meals (including a Kitchen Sink), KC10family!

I think Yamabuki suffered from not to many people knowing where it was because PPH is across the street from the main hub of activity, and I would guess that many folks kind of forgot about PCH Grill after the character meal hours ended, but that could all change now! I swear, whenever we have stayed at PPH and have been walking to or from DLR by way of the GCH short cut, we always pass by PCH Grill and never see anyone inside. There are always all sorts of empty tables and maybe one family way off to the side! Now, the next time I walk that route, I am expecting to see a full restaurant, and on every single table will be a giant Kitchen Sink dessert!!

You are so kind. I would love a free kitchen sink , but just knowing others love it like we do is fabulous as well.

This is from the Beaches and Cream in WDW, but it is the same thing I imagine at PPH.

Yummy, I am going to have to walk all summer just so I can enjoy that in Sept!
