I really need to call and get my meals planned for our upcoming trip. We will be at the park June 1,2 and 3. Hopefully I'm not too late....

I'm thinking of:'

Ariel's Grotto (lunch)
Goofy's (first bfst)
PCH (dinner)...are characters there at dinner or bfst only?
Minnie's (bfst)
Blue Bayou....not sure which meal

Is this all too much??? or good? not enough? :confused3 I'm clueless and none of my irl friends have been to DL ...they are all WDW junkies.

My kids are 6.5, couple weeks shy of 5 and 18 months when we travel.

Thanks!!!!!!

Too much IMHO. You should check out Hydroguy's thread on Dining WDW vs. DL.

But if you'd like to keep these, you are definitely not too late:
*Ariels Grotto: Starting May 1 they aren't serving dinner in anticipation for the start of WoC. Lunch would be good, their food is great.
*Goofy's: Great brunch. Lots of characters. Could also do as a late brunch/early lunch since they serve both breakfast and lunch items.
*PCH: Only characters for breakfast. Never eaten there. Are you staying at the PPH? If not then its quite a walk to the hotel from the parks.
*Minnies: Another good character breakfast, and in the park! You may be able to get a seating before the park opens...ask!
*Blue Bayou: I've never eaten there, but really want to. To get waterside seating, you may want to consider an early lunch around 11:30.

Thanks!

We are staying in the kid's suite at HOJO's.....I only looked at PCH because my kids have recently gotten really into Lilo and Stitch.

I don't know why all this planning has to feel so intimidating!

DD (4) loves Ariel's Grotto, we go there for lunch alot. The food has improved considerably from years past.

Goofy's Kitchen is another favorite, breakfast there is just OK, I am not a breakfast person. Lunch and Dinner are my preferred times to eat there.

Blue Bayou is VERY dark, it took a lot of coaxing to get my DD to eat there. And of course, it is very expensive. No characters, so the kids are not as easily entertained. But very good food overall.

Minnie's breakfast I have never done, but it seems like a good way to get in the park early!

We like Storyteller's Cafe, they have characters at breakfast, but in the evening it is nice quiet time.

Good luck!

If by any chance you miss one of your times, you could try French Market (YUMMY!) and Cafe Orleans (Yummy!)

I have done all thoes meals and unless you have a girl VERY into princesses then Ariel's is a waste. The food is supposed to be high quality, but it's just over priced in my opinion... same for the BB. I much prefer the French Market or Cafe Orleans.
Minnies is GREAT!! 10-12 characters is standard.
Goofy's is great for Brunch or Dinner... I know many people don't like their dinner, it is quite expensive, but my BFF and I enjoyed it!
PCH only has characters at Breakfast and it's quite good.
We are counter service if we have to people though. So we get a late seating for breakfast and then have either an early dinner or snack to a late dinner.
You can easily do a character meal a day though and have all breakfast/brunches with Minnies, PCH and Goofy's! :-)
Hope this helps!

I wonder what the latest seating is for Minnie's... is going there later in the morning ill-advised? I hate to miss early morning park time, and we're not big early-morning eaters.

We went at like 10:30 or 11am I think... when I called Disney Dining I asked when the last seating time was and then got the one before that... just to be sure! Don't forget to ask for your free buttons at all character meals! :-)

INHO Blue Bayou was not that great. I have always wanted to go so DS7 and I went on Easter. The pork spare ribs were awful and covered in fat and the potatoes were just gross. My son ordered the mac n cheese which he wouldn't finish because he didn't like it (I didn't blame him). After spending the money on a nice I dinner I left dissapointed that we didn't go somewhere else. I am not a fish/seafood eater so I will probably never go back. Just thought I would throw that out there. BTW...we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservations and asked for waterfront seating. It took an hour to be sat from that point.

Thanks

When I called the girl I talked to recommended PCH over Minnie's. She said that both Mickey and Minnie will be at PCH....but that Mickey isn't at Minnie's :confused3
