Meal Plan question

Hello All,
we were wondering about that free meal plan offer in Septembers. Is there such a thing, and if so, what does it mean? We are a family of 6. And, most importantly, does it apply to DVC members?

The Free Dining Plan, if offered, is not available to DVC Members on points. It is a promotion requiring a full price cash room at a WDW resort and the purchase of park tickets. Basically, it is meant to fill up rooms that would otherwise remain empty. Since DVC rooms are basically prepaid, whether they are used or not, there is no major advantage (to Disney) to offer the promotion to DVC Members on point stays.

None of the FREE meal plan offers are extended to reservations made with DVC points. If you want FREE meal plans when they offer them you must pay cash for your room.

In fact, you can't get any of the package deals that Disney offers when you use points. But you can purchase the dining plan with your DVC points stay at a WDW resort.
