Has anyone made a reservation for a lot of people(13) for a meal? I have extended family that all want to get together for a meal during our Disney trip. We think Ohana for brunch would be great. Does anyone have a suggestion of a place or experience booking for that many? Any advice would be appreciated.

Via Napoli/Whispering Canyon, etc. also good places for a large group which we have been to. We have had 14 people and once 16. We have had to make two reservations - try to get same time or 15 minutes apart. We then check in early and let them know we are together. Most of the times they have been able to accommodate us.

I was thinking we would have to do 2 reservations or call to see if they could do one together. Whispering Canyon is always a good time.

I have regularly seen larger groups at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.

ETA: Checking just now, for example, there are multiple reservation times/dates open for 13 people at HDDR between day after tomorrow and next Friday....

I booked for ten at Il Mulino at the Swan. If you look at the Swan/Dolphin website, you can get a direct phone number for it.

Just remember if you do 2 (or even 3) separate ADRs to get everyone reserved at the same restaurant, you'll need multiple people to be the lead guest on the dining reservations. One person can't make multiple dining reservations at the same time. We had a similar situation last year, had 2 ADRs for most of our nights, then got to the restaurant a little early to check-in and request that we be seated together or very close together (you have to ask at the restaurant - calling Disney dining won't help). All but one of the restaurants (Beaches N Cream) had us sitting together at the same table - they really do try. But I will say 13 will be a challenging number!! I absolutely agree with Boma - we've had as many as 21 together there! Plus it's an awesome place for a family dinner. Good luck - hope you have many meals together!

Thanks so much for the insight! I think our hope is Ohana, Boma, or Hoop Dee for our big meal with all of us. We can use my wife and sister to book multiple ADRs if needed. I will call Disney before my 60 day window and see if I have any magical moments. I'll update everyone on this thread.

In June we had 11 guests. We were able to get reservations at both Via Napoli and the Boathouse for 11. As others have stated the other restaurant reservations had to be made using 2 MDE accounts. In those situations we checked in with the hostess about 20 minutes early and requested we be seated as close as possible to one another. Have a great time.

I agree that any of the Disney buffets (or someplace like Ohana with a fixed menu) would be a good choice for a group that large. Everyone can get whatever food they want and you don't have the complication of ordering off of a menu. The reality is for a group that large, even if all seated together, you still won't be able to talk with everyone. We attended a family function last year at a local restaurant with a similarly sized group and were mostly able to talk with those on either side of us or across the table. I guess it also depends on if this is the only time the entire group will be together. Everyone probably has different preferences for where to eat and what to do while at Disney so it would be a challenge to find something that pleases everyone.

WDW specializes in large groups! We’ve done a sit down dinner every night for our past four or five trips with nine people and no issues. We’ve tried all different restaurants in all the parks and hotels and have tried at least thirty places without a glitch. The only place we couldn’t all fit was a Sci Fi car.

My daughter is a seater at Chef Mickey’s (DCP) and she says they have lots of big groups that eat there on a daily basis. She said biggest group she’s seen is 39. She said sometimes it’s one big reservation or multiple smaller ones but they’ve always sat them together if requested.

We just recently completed our trip of 10/11, not sure how different it would be for 13. We were able to book a single dining reservation at Boma, Biergarten, Teppan Edo, Chef Mickeys and Roundup Rodeo BBQ. For all other dining we booked two reservations at the same time or 10-15 minutes apart. Once we were at the restaurant, we checked in both reservations and let them know we were a single party. Each time they were able to get us two tables right next to each other, only needed to wait a few extra minutes a few times.
