Has anyone purchased the meal plan through the universal studios website with their admission? We saw this and it seems like a wonderful idea for 3 adults but was wondering how the restaurants that are offered with it stack up?

We did it. Saved us a lot of money. We did 3 meals and did one to go. U can also just get in line and grab a drink.

I think most people on the board would agree that it's not worth the money unless someone in your party eats a lot. The restaurants (except for Louie's) aren't the best and the food is pretty standard theme park fare. There are much better places to eat in both parks than those on the meal deal and the portions are large enough to share with little ones. The other thing to consider is the park hours when you're visiting. They are generally open 9-6 or 9-7 and food service stops 30 minutes prior to park close. A later dinner will not be possible if coming during a slower travel period.

The meal deal doesn't come with a drink. You have purchase the drink deal separately.

The 3 restaurants for the meal deal at each park are all counter service. You can check their menus in the food sticky at the top of this page.
