Meal Deal Question

I have a few questions concerning the meal deal, as my family is contemplating purchasing it for the two days we'll stay at Universal.
I do understand that the food at the restaurants that have the meal deal are not top notch in comparison to what can be chosen throughout the parks.
Is it at least like Disneys quick service?
Is it truly unlimited between the times you can eat? The site says 'as much food as you like', does that mean if i'm really hungry one day I can get four meals in total (just as an example).

If you look at the food sticky, there are menus for all restaurants and you can see exactly what is offered at the meal deal restaurants.

You can eat however much you want.

you have 3 places in the studios and 3 at ioa that are in the meal deal program.



it begins at 11ish, breakfast is not included.
it ends 30 minutes prior to park closing.
beverages is not included.


check the menus for what is offered to help you decide.

Louie's is a favorite place of mine and others.
they are on the list.
Mel's, not my favorite. i got the 3 strikes and you're out with me over the years.


check the prices of the foods, then decide if you would come out ahead by purchasing the meal deal.

if you go during a busy period to the parks, your wait for food might take more of your park ride time.


i have done the meal deal on a few vacations.
i stay 10 nights or more so i still can do my regular favorite places on my trip.

there are many eateries that i lean too and would not want to give up on my stays.
