Meal Deal - Is it worth it?

Last fall we spent $43.00 with AAA discount for lunch at Mythos; we had the flat bread appetizer, ceasar salad with scallops and crab sliders plus sodas. At Finnegan's we spent $29 with AAA discount; DH had the potato/onion webb appetizer and bangers and mash along with soda and beer.

We enjoyed Louie's for lunch. It was $16 with AAA discount for pizza and sodas.

definately buying the meal deal for two growing teenage boys.........prepaid, they are wishing NOT to do sit down meals this trip...............:cool1: they will venture off on their own while we are are in the parks with them, so this allows them to eat how much and when they want..........Louie's pizza is excellent, they can easily eat 4 pieces for lunch only and more for dinner and snacks, so price wise, the meal deal works..................we have our cups already..............they actually hook them onto their belt buckles........don't even know they are there and they can literally fill these up 5 times a day............they eat good at home so go ahead and splurge on junk........we did 8 nights of the deluxe dining at disney this past Feb, now that's a lot of sit down dining but we did fine dining @ Narcoosees (4 nights), Yaghtsman Steakhouse, and some really good casual sit downs for lunch and breakfast so the boys need a break from sit downs:rotfl: we are off to Indian Shores, FL for a week after 4 nights at RPR and the meal deal..........cannot wait.

I have to agree if you have teenage boys it can be worth it, especially if they're going off on their own.

How much are kids meals? (Not the MD, just a kid's meal and what does it include? Drink?)

I think I've determined the MD is not for us. We'll be there in September, so the park closes at 6. I think we'd rather do a lunch in the park and dinner on Citywalk or at the hotel after the parks close.

As I recall it was about $7-8 for the kids meal with a drink. Don't forget if you have a AAA card to bring it. You get 10% off food and merchandise.

How is Finnegans? we are planning on eating there on our next trip.

This will be our 3rd trip to US and we have eaten at Finnegans every time we have been there. Its very good!

how much on average pp is finnigans? mythos? any where else good?:confused3

All ears has some older menu's you can look at - just do a search on Universal menu's.

They are not that bad. Both have sandwiches and entrees ranging from around $10-$20 or so. Not overly expensive.
