Meal Budgets

I was wondering how much I should budget for meals. We're staying at Pop Century, and will probably eat 2 counter service meals, and 1 sit down restaurant meal each day. I'm going with a friend, and we're college students on a budget, so there will be no extremely expensive meals, but we are considering a character breakfast, maybe a meal at WS in Epcot, perhaps dinner at the boardwalk or another resort one night. I just want to know about how much to budget (ex. $XX for counterservice, $XX for sit down meals...). I'll also be posting this on the budget board, but I figured there might be a better idea of restaurant prices on this board. Thanks for all your help!

Under dining you can find complete menues and prices. That will give you a good idea. Don't forget bottled water, sodas, extra snacks (popcorn, Mickey Bars etc) throughout the day!!!

Also, you may want to consider bringing things like granola bars or pop tarts or some other non perishable food items for breakfast. We did this the last time we went and it saved us a ton of money on meals. But we are not huge breakfast eaters either, so that could make a difference.

I've read to budget about $10 per person for counter service meals. Judging by the menus on allearsnet.com that looks about right. A character meal, depending on what meal and where will run you $17-$20 for breakfast, and about $27 for dinner for the highest priced ones. Looks like Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare are the highest at dinner time.

One thought, depending on what meal you do for sit-down, and if it's a buffet, if you have a big lunch, you could get away with snack-type food for dinner. Or, if you do a breakfast buffet, do it late enough to be an early lunch as well, or just snack for lunch.
