Ok so we are planning on getting a rental car but not sure if all of our luggage will fit into it plus us comfortably, so is there away we could just do ME for the luggage?? I know sounds kinda goofy but don't want to have to get a bigger car just because of luggage issues..TIA

If you're staying on site, just take ME and get your car at the resort.

yeah we are staying on site but have heard it could take awhile before u actually get the resort. we don't care about how long it would take for the luggage to get there just us...lol

I've wondered this too. Rental prices at the Car Car Center (CCC) have been higher than renting at MCO. I even tried doing a reservation of picking up at CCC and returning to MCO, and the cost was higher than a regular reservation.

My thought is if we go with renting at MCO, my dh picks up the car and I take ME with the kids to the resort.

Sounds like a possible solution. I have been told that you can't just send your luggage.

In short DME is not designed as a luggage delivery service and your supposed to ride the DME bus. Issues can arise if your bags are misdirected by the airlines and DME doesn't know to look for them (because you didn't check in for the bus and tell them the # of bags you checked through).

A solution can be to have at least one person in the party ride the bus while another gets the rental. This way you can check in and verify the number of bags.
