Ohhh, I was feeling so great! 15 pounds gone! And then it happened...BAM! I hit a plateau. :( I have remained OP (WW) but my body has decided not to surrender anymore pounds. The scale has become my enemy--and I want to win!

Any suggestions? (I have no desire to cheat or give up--I just want to get these pounds moving off me again!)

Thank you for any ideas. :earsgirl:

Are you drinking enough water? If not perhaps you could up your water intake. How about exercise? You could try increasing your level of activity or change the type of exercise that you're doing. To be quite honest, so far I haven't hit a plateau, so I'm not the best person to give advise. Hopefully someone else will be along shortly to offer some good tips. Good luck. I hope that you manage to get of your plateau soon! ::yes::

Are you eating your flex points? I have heard not eating them can stall your weight loss. Do you measure yourself? If so, are you losing inches? Sometimes it takes a while for the scale to catch up. Good luck!

How long have you been stuck at the same weight? Also, how close are you to goal?

Measure your inches is a definite.
DR. phils show trainers say definitly change your exercise routine.
IF you were doing low carb Id say do what I did eat some carbs for a few days then go back to LC it kicked back in for me but, i also changed my exercise.

I swear by joggin, I read somewhere once that jogging "Sheds" pounds, that has seemed to be the case for me.

godd luck
stick with it youll win!

I have no WW advice. Just a great big {{{HUG}}} for our middle sister. Don't give up.

Increase your exercise and watch out for those refined carbohydrates. I know how you love pasta. Be sure and measure your servings, okay?

You'll blast this plateau, I'm sure of it.

Those darn plateaus can be so frustrating!! Hang in there, you will get through this!

Some ideas I remember from WW meetings:

Watch your consumption of 0 pt foods Sometimes if you are using too many of these, it can slow you down. Try cutting back to only 5 servings per day of 0 pt foods.

Vary the amount of points you eat. I do this one all the time. I eat my target points a couple of days per week, and use flex points to add more points on other days. I usually vary flex point days anywhere between 2-3 up to 6-7 flex points used. This keeps your metabolism revved up.

Increase the amount of activity points you earn, Sometimes pumping up the exercise a bit will jump start your metabolism.

Try the fast track program for a couple of weeks Basically this is just cutting back to 20 points per day, if you are at a higher points target. They don't recommend that you do this for more than a couple of weeks.

Work the program. Make sure you are getting at the recommended amount of fruits/veggies, milks and water.

Sometimes, no matter what you do the scales won't budge, you just have to wait it out. When that happens, your body is just taking the time it needs to rest and regather strength for the next part of your journey!

Here's a  MdmMim and some :wizard: for breaking that plateau!!

Thank you all for the suggestions--and for the great support!

I am far from goal, but I wll get there. (Especially with such a wonderful group like you!)

I am going to try several of your ideas and get these pounds gone!!

Thanks again! :earsgirl:
