Me v. Disney: The Battle for My Wallet

You are a hoot! I loved the part about character meals! My poor bil did the same routine with the cam-corder at CP this past October. Now he knows how I feel. When we had breakfast at the Castle, I was the poor shmuck filming and not eating the million dollar meal. You hit the nail on the head! :rotfl2:

My darling Disney daughter is now 23, but your post brought back many memories ,tho I loved the character breakfasts and don't remember many people THEN getting in the way of her stoller. (Tho it could be cause hers wasn't a MAGIC one,or that I have a more aggressive driving style! LOL.

You have a great style of writing! Keep posting!

Thanks for the great report-
From someone who wasn't lucky enough to be part of these boards last yearwhen the original post aired :cool1: !!

I loved reading this, and laughed out loud several times. Great report, and your description of character meals complete with cameras and videos, and juggling photo opportunities with actually eating anything was so true.

Thanks to whomever bumped this and, OP, hope you are still checking these boards -- Your post was FABULOUS!!!

A word about the rampant increase of rudeness in Disney World. When I was a kid, it seemed everyone was in a good mood at Disney. Now, not so much. A lot has been written about why people are so mad and why people are so inconsiderate so I won’t waste your time with my analysis of why people have grown so rude. However, I do have this recommendation to Disney guests: lighten up people. It’s a vacation, not a mission. And one more thing: we all paid a lot of money to be there. We’re all tired. We all want to have a great time. If we all treated everyone the way we wanted to be treated (read: we don’t walk in from the other side of the Fastpass kiosk at Buzz Lighyear, jump in front of the nice man with the 2 year old in a stroller and then stand there deciding whether we want Fastpasses) then we’d all have a great experience and it might not be so stressful after all. End of sermon. Please pass the offering plate to your left.
:rotfl2: Great report and I LOVED this part!!

I have been to crystal palace breakfast and it was terrible. It was like a meat market. The charaters were rushed and there was tooooooooooooo many people. We have been to Chef Mickeys and it was great. The characters came to out table a couple of times during the meal the atmosphere was layed back. The food at both places was good. One character dinner you should try is Liberty Tavern. The characters come to your table twice and the food is good. The best of the three IMHO. The food at the poly show was mediocure (sp) but the show was great.

Thank you so much for a very needed laugh. You are very witty!!

Just bumping this so that any newbies can read how a trip report should be done. One of the laugh out loud DIS classics. Enjoy,
