ME to BWV

I was just wondering what people's experience has been with taking ME to BWV. I have only used ME once for AKL, and wasn't very impressed since we were the third stop, and it took us almost 1.5 hrs to get to the resort.

We are considering using ME for an upcoming trip to BWV, but don't want to end up as the third stop again since we are landing so late (9:30 pm). We usually rent cars. What number stop has BWV been for others out there?

I've taken ME 3 times to the BWV and we were the 2nd stop- right after the Carribean Beach Resort. It was pretty quick to the BWV all 3 times.

I don't think it was more than 30 minutes.

Our experience (twice) was just under an hour from plane landing to ME bus pulling into the BWV resort (and we also stopped at the CBR first both times).

Really, it's kind of a "luck" thing. Depends on how long you have to wait for a bus to leave the airport after you check into the Welcome Center. If you arrive later or at a time when they are not expecting a lot more guests, you may have to visit more resorts before yours. Or yours may be the first.

On this trip we were put on the bus with passengers for All-Star Sports and Music. Waited at the airport for 45 minutes before finally heading out. We were the last stop. Not impressed - probably our worst experience. Not sure if it may have been our later flight though - we arrived at MCO at 10pm and checked in at BWV at 11:45.

In December, BWV was 2nd stop after CBR.

We sat on the bus about 20 minutes before they left. The trip itself was pretty short!

I think the worse thing about ME was the fact that the person right behind me ate both coming and going! (different people, same complaint!)

I kind of get carsick and the last thing I wanted to smell was garlicky ickiness and doritoes.

There is a big sign on the bus that says no food or drinks. People ignore it!

Now, please don't listen to my complaints though...the trip itself was fine and I would ride ME again in a heartbeat! I would just make sure I turned around and glared at people who were eating this time!

We used ME in January to go from MCO to BWV. We were the first stop on the trip. We waited about 10-15 minutes for the bus to leave. We had no wait from the check-in @ ME to the bus. I guess we got lucky.

We had a good experience in June too. You have to weigh the expense of renting a car vs the wait for ME. We have always been pretty satisfied with the Disney bus system getting around the world and haven't missed not having a car. IMHO if you are thinking private town car shuttle vs ME I'd say sit down and enjoy the ME.

Now I must say this past week at VWL my Dsis and I rented a car. That was nice for getting from one resort to another. (Five minutes from VWL to the Poly) That trip would have taken time on the boat to MK plus a transfer to the monorail to the Poly. Do-able but longer than 5 min.

Parking in the lot and taking the tram to HS, EPCOT, and AK wasn't a huge time or step saver for us.

The one time I have used ME we were the second stop after a brief stop at CBR. We did wait on the bus for about 10-15 minutes before we left the airport.

CBR, BWV, BCV and thennnnnn...YC.

I'm going to BWV next month so looking forward to the 2nd stop.
I'm usually checking in 1-1/2 hrs after I land.....and I get my own luggage.

Wow....I'm traveling with you guys from now on. I've taken the DME bus to BWV about 3 times now, and to BC once. Every single time, the bus stopped at YC/BC first, then on to BW! Last time, in August, we stopped at YC, then BC, where the driver announced we were at Beach Club, not Caribbean Beach. He said he would be stopping at CBR after the next stop. We then went on to BW. Now, it didn't take all that long to get there...I would say that I usually get to BW in about 65-70 mins after deplaning. The longest trip for me was when I was at POP and for some reason, we were the last of three stops...usually POP is first. And there was a lot of luggage to be unstowed at each stop before ours.

Another plus for ME is it is GREAT not to have to mess with the luggage
