ME Tags Never Showed Up

My in-laws have ME set up but they never received their tags. I contacted the TA and she contacted ME to send another packet. If the trip is only 3 weeks away do the tags have a shot of getting here in time?

They absolutely have a chance of getting there and even if they don't, you can still use DME and the luggage transfer service. If you don't get your package, you just need to stop at the DME Welcome Center desk to get your vouchers, and to give them your baggage claim ticket information and a description of your bags. They will have them pulled from the baggage carousel and magically delivered to your room as if you had used the tags. (That's assuming you arrive between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. After 10 p.m. you have to collect your own bags; tags or no.)

If you don't get the tags, and you are able take a picture of your bags with your cell phone, I have done this so I can show them what they look like if the bag isn't tagged. I sometimes book last minute trips and I always use DME and with or without the tags I always have received my bags. Have a great trip.

Three weeks out isn't really 'late'. The packet usually arrives about four weeks prior to travel, and we are hearing of more and more instances of later arriving packets. The other issue is using a TA. The packets go to the TA who in turn has to get the packet to the guest. If I were using a TA, I would assume that they would automatically contact DME if the packet hadn't arrived in their office at the three week point.
