I don't know if this is a weird situation or not. We (Me, DD13 & DD10) will already be in Orlando for DD13's volleyball tournament there at ESPN/Orange county convention center. Once that's over, we are switching to POR. DH will be flying in on Southwest the day we check into POR. Question: Can he take ME instead of me having to go to MCO and pick him up? I do not have a "Disney reservation number". I paid for POR through the travel agency who is working w/ the tournament (great rate!) and so far do not have the Disney res #, although I may get it at some point. I leave in 20 days, and I would like to get this settled before I go. I did read one of the sticky threads regarding that you may walk up to the Welcome Center at MCO and tell them you don't have luggage tags, and you are going to a Disney resort, but I would love to have more info. Thanks Dissers!:cool1:

The DME contract with the airport prohibits them from taking walk ups so you can't just walk up to DME and ride even if you are a resort guest. I think the post you read pertains to a guest who did have a DME reservation but did not get the luggage tags in time, in which case they can still use the luggage service and ride the bus.

I would try to find your resort reservation # and make a DME reservation for him. Email group vacation planners etc and or try calling DME directly to see if they can perhaps find your group and make your dh a reservation. DME 866 599-0951

If all else fails it won't hurt to try of course!

Thank you for your response! I found a way to chat w/ Disney on the MDE site. They also gave me the # to call DME and the wonderful lady there helped me out. I got my DH a reservation on DME, and I'm all set. Thanks!!!:wizard:

Off topic but my DD is a volleyball player too her team is not going to AAU this year but maybe next. So Good luck to your DD and her team!!:shamrock::tink:

Thanks! This is my DD13s 1st season w/ club, and we are super excited to be able to go to Orlando so we can go to WDW! We secretly didn't want to make it to nationals in Minnesota anyway :rotfl2: We'll see how it goes next year! Good luck to your DD also!:cheer2:

This is my DD's 3rd year she's almost 13. She was only regional so no out of state trips for us.I understand the tournament at Disney is like going to the Olympics, very fun and exciting:yay: It's my daughters dream to play there so here's to hoping...ok it would work for me too I'd get to go to disney:rolleyes1:rotfl:

Several of our club's top national teams (DD is on the 2nd nat. team) made it to the USAVB nationals, which is in Minnesota this year. That's really called the junior olympics! I looked it up, only 100 teams for the 13 year old category received bids. That's for the entire country! That's crazy! We are in Texas, we have plenty of high level competition in our region and state.:scared1: DM me any time to talk volleyball!

We'll be there for AAU, too!! I keep forgetting, though... Too excited for our second half of the trip at WDW! LOL! I have to remember we need to stay focused and have my girls keep their head in the game.

Ha ha me too! How many days are you doing at WDW? I have 4 w/ park hoppers, since the tix thru AAU were so reasonable. Has your DD ever been to this tournament? In looking at last year's results, it looks like around 3 matches per day, nothing too serious until the last day, maybe. It will be good to get acclimated to the one hour time difference so we can get to WDW bright and early once the tournament is over. :cool1:

We purchased the 3 day hopper through AAU. I wanted the 4 day but DH works 7 days a week and he wanted just one day to do absolutely nothing. Now that I think of it, he could've just did absolutely nothing by himself and be perfectly happy... lol. We've never been to this particular tournament, so we are super excited! We try to do Disney every year, except for the last two years, we did back to back Disney cruises out of Galveston. I told DH that this trip doesn't count as our annual Disney vacation since it's actually for volleyball. lol... He just rolled his eyes.
