Hi all!

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this with ME. We are looking at a red eye flight into Orlando. I have classes the at night on Wednesday and the flight we are looking at would leave after I was done. We really don't want to pay for a night at WDW when we don't get to do anything (the flight lands at like 11pm) so we were looking at staying at the hotel in the airport and taking ME the next morning (the first day of our tickets) Can we do that? Has anyone tried?

Thanks!
Minnesota

Also, Does ME deliver you to DTD hotels or just the official ones?
Thanks again!

Actually, a "red eye" is usually defined as an overnight flight arriving the next morning. Your flight would simply be on a late flight.

I would imagine there should not be any problem using Magical Express the next morning. For Magical Express purposes, your arrival date would be the day after you fly in, and you would arrive at Orlando Airport by hotel shuttle (unless you stay at the Hyatt which is in the airport), rather than on an airline flight. You would not put the Magical Express tags onto your luggage at your home airport.

But I could be wrong. The only way to know is to call Magical Express. Then please let us know.

But consider the advantage of going to directly to WDW the night you arrive. Even if I arrived late, I'd rather wait for the Magical Express motorcoach than for a hotel shuttle. You can use the Magical Express service as designed. You'll wake up in WDW the next morning, ready to have fun. Otherwise, you'll lose several hours in the morning -- checking out, waiting for hotel shuttle back to the airport, dragging your luggage around, taking the Magical Express motorcoach, and possibly waiting until 4 PM for your room to be ready.

Yes, Magical Express includes Disney's Downtown Disney Resort Area: Disney's Old Key West Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter, and Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside.

Magical Express does not serve the "Official Walt Disney World Hotels" on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, such as the Hilton, Holiday Inn, and Doubletree Suites.

If ME tells you no just give them a flight that gets in the next morning. Don't put the ME tags on your luggage. The next morning take the hotel shuttle, with your bags, back to the airport and checkin with ME.

Even on PL the airport hotels cost almost $60 including the PL fee. I'd just go directly to Disney if I was staying in value resort. If I was paying $200+++for a deluxe hotel I'd stay by the airport the first night.

It's not a true grocery stop but if you tip the airport shuttle driver they'll take you to a store like Walgreens. Great way to pick up a case of soda or water.
