I know someone here will have a quick answer.

They are not flying out of MCI, they just need to get back to the airport to get their rental car. Can ME do this? If so, how would they arrange it? They obviously can't give up their luggage.

No. You need to give ME your flight information.

But you can get a rental car from Hertz or Enterprise (or others?) who have offsite (off-airport) locations near Disney resorts and can pick you up from the resort. I have done this, and it works great!

We were staying at Old Key West and had Hertz pick us up and take us to there rental location just past Downtown Disney. There is no extra charge for this service, and the rates are competitive. Then you don't have to have the rental car for the full length of your stay, just the time that you want. When you return the car, they can also give you a ride back to the resorts. It works well.
