ME question

Hi we have signed up for ME(7 of us)....can some of us take the ME bus and have luggage taken to room and some rent and car for transportation/shopping and not use our ME reservation. Does that make sense? Thank you. Carol

You will need to have enough people on the bus to cover the luggage. So one of you can't go with 14 suitcases. (Figure one person for every two pieces of checked luggage) Also, if you have more then one room you need folks from both rooms!

Hi We have 4 adults and 3 small children...and a 2BDR at OKW. We grandparents were going to use ME and the other adult get mini van and go to grocery store. So don't put tags on all the pieces???

If there are bags that you are going to go to baggage claim and get yourself, then do not put the yellow DME tags on them.
Each person who is listed on the reservation will get two luggage tags from DME. They assume that most airlines will allow two pieces of checked luggage per person. So....if you have the grandparents, go with the kids, on the DME bus and the other adults go get the rental car, how much luggage will be actually tagged for DME transport? We seldom need two bags apiece. So....you will have tags for 7, total of 14 of them. Will you really have 14 bags? Or are you just concerned with having some bags available to you upon checkin? If this is the case, leave that particular bag untagged, but tag all those you can do without for a few hours. Let DME take care of those bags, and you guys have a fun time hopping on the bus. Hope that's somewhat clear.

Important question: are all of you on one reservation number? If you are, you're in luck. As long as ONE person from a party (meaning from one reservation number) has their bus voucher scanned and rides the DME bus, ALL of that reservation number's luggage will be delivered via DME.

I've never looked into 2BR accommodations, but I suspect that everyone in there is on one single reservation and not two or more separate ones. So you may just be in luck.

Yes we are all on one reservation in the 2 BDRM. DVC. We (grandparents) wanted to take the ME bus , maybe with the kids. and let the parents get the car and get food. We don't need any of the checked bags but just wondered if they would deliver the bags for the parents too or we would have to retrieve them and take them in the car. If I understand you we don't have to get them. They will all go to the resort. Thanks Carol
