ME or rental car?

We are going to DW in May with my inlaws. They are taking ME from the airport and we are renting a car. My question is: Would it be a good idea for me and my kids to take ME with my inlaws and let my husband get the car? I was thinking it might be easier since he wouldn't have to get the luggage. Do you think we would get to the hotel faster if we took ME or should we all go in the car? We are staying at the Yacht Club and our flight arrives at 5:15pm on a friday night. Also, do you think our luggage would arrive at our room before we went to bed (11pm)?

Keep in mind that ME stops at other resorts too so you may make a few other stops before you get to your resort. If it were me and the luggage fit in the car along with you and the kids I'd take the car. Also, the car offers you the flexability of stopping for a quick bite along the way or a grocery stop if needed.
