ME or cab - early am flight

Our plane leaves at 8:00 in the morning. It's my understanding that the ME bus will leave three hours prior. Is this really true? I have to be there at 5:00 am? If so, would renting a town car or taking a cab be easier? If I take a cab or town car, what time should I leave to get to the airport on time?

I am biased. We never liked using Mears because of all the stops they make and "playing by their rules." We use, to and from, Tiffany Town Car - everyone is very nice and we get excellent service.

However, I would think that you are only going to get about 30 minutes extra with a town car.

As has been reported numerous times on this board, MCO in the early morning hours has become VERY crowded with excessively long waits for security. I would not recommend arriving at MCO under two hours in advance.

I keep teasing DH that I can't wait to use ME to go back to the airport...

he usually insists we depart earlier than that .

BTW, we've seen the late a.m/afternoon sec. lines backed all the way into the other concourse. Better early than late IMO, will give you time to grab breakfast @ MCO.

Yep, you'll only gain about 30 minutes using Tiffany. I would use DME and get through security and have a nice breakfast at the airport and relax, rather than worry about not making it to the gate on-time!!
