Me Luggage Tags

Help! We are leaving on our trip soon Dec 1-8, and our ME luggage tags say AK but underneath say Pop Century. We are staying at the Pop Century, but does AK mean Animal Kingdom? I'm just worried that our luggage will land up going to the wrong place? Can someone please let me know. Thanks

I just checked out my tags, and mine say AK too, then Pop Century. AK must mean something else, but I can't think what. I'm sure someone out there will know...

The bus routes for Magical Express have 'Zones' ... and Pop Century is in the AK 'Zone'. For example, when I took the bus to Coronado Springs (also in the AK 'Zone) ... it stopped at Pop Century, then CSR, then AKL...

That's all it means.

in May our ME tags were just like yours - we stayed at POP. So its ok - its the zone Disney uses for sorting & delivering your luggage. Yep - it just magically appears in your room sometime after your arrival.

I had the same thing happen to me. I thought, "Oh boy! They upgraded me to AK from Pop Century as a surprise"! Imagine my surprise . . .

POP and the All Stars are listed as Animal Kingdom resorts due to their location to that park. Same as Y/B Club and Boardwalk are EPCOT, Polly, GF and Contemp are Magic Kingdom

May I ask when you received your tags? We're leaving Dec. 9th, but booked the vacation back in Feb (& requested ME). I just realized we never got tags in the mail.

I received them about 2 weeks ago, however we booked as two seperate parties and the other half of our party has not received them yet.

technically the people routes on buses and luggage routes are completely separate, but yes, those letters in the mickey head do stand for Animal Kingdom. just like other resorts will be 'zoned' as MK, DD or EC (I think it's EC).

POP is actually in the epcot area but there are probably too many EC area resorts already and POP is so busy and large, it's a nice compliment to AKL which is on its own.

We leave the 15th of Dec. and ours just came in the mail today!!

So exciting!!! That means our trip is getting closer!!!!!!!




Also, both times we have been at POP our tags had the AK on them. I wondered why the first time also!

We leave of dec 12th and i got our me tags last week!

I thought that was fast as they say it should come 30 days before arrival.

I was wondering about that AK also. We leave on Monday Nov. 12(three days woo-hoo ) and I just recieved my ME tags two days ago after requesting them twice.
