ME Luggage Tag Question

We are going to WDW with friends (separate reservations; same resort) next month and received our ME booklets yesterday with 2 luggage tags each. Our friends want to check 3 bags but DH and I will do carry-on. Is it a big deal if I just give them one of our tags or do I need to request another one from ME for them?

They should request their own DME transfer.

They have their own transfer; just need another luggage tag.

Just give them your tags that you will not need. The bags will make it to your villa without any problem.

Also note, they can cut one of their own tags in half, so each half still has a complete bar code. We had 3 tags and at the very last minute decided to check 4 bags - a quick plea to Disney friends on Facebook yielded the above instructions and it worked perfectly.

Go ahead and have them use one of your tags. Their bag will go to your room, but that's easily remedied.

Note that if you cut the yellow tag in half, it might not stay on a suitcase handle unless you use additional transparent tape.

The ends need to stick together back to back for at least one inch.

Remove the waxed paper from both ends before sticking them together otherwise the chances of the tag's falling off are greatly increased especially if only a minimum of back to back contact was possible.

If you just call the ME people they will send you additional luggage tags, no problem! We do this every trip!
