if we don't get off the plane until 10:30 then me over to asm, when does the luggage come? and how? if your asleep do they wake you, banging on the door?

We are arriving at 11pm and I had asked someone the same question. You can have them hold your luggage until the morning. Just pack a small bag with pj's and tooth brushes and such. Someone had also told me they did that and their luggage was delivered to them by 7am that next morning.

What time would the luggage get there that night (if you arrive at 10pm)? We land at 9:45pm but I'd REALLY like to have my luggage that night....what time should I expect it ??

It's hard to say. My luggage on a Friday morning took about three or three and a half hours (I know because I accidentally packed something in checked luggage that I could not leave the hotel area without, so I waited).
I know one DME booster whose luggage arrived after they checked in and sometime while they were at the pool, so they don't know how long it actually took.

I suppose you COULD tell Bell Services you'd like your luggage delivered no matter WHAT time it gets there, but if it hasn't gotten TO your resort and been sorted for delivery to the rooms, well, your checked luggage can't be delivered to your room until it's AT your resort.

If you really, really want your luggage with you that night, you might want to consider not attaching the DME tags and instead, claiming your own bags and bringing them to the bus yourself.

I am in the same situation. Arriving around 8:30PM and wondering how long luggage will take to catch up with us. I've found on my past trips that later arrivals do not have as many WDW bound guests than the flights earlier in the day. I hope that means the amount luggage they need to collect, sort and deliver will be less and therefore delivered quicker than if I arrived in the middle of the day. On past trips we've arrived 10:00PM and later and actually had Mears vans to the hotels with only a handful of other guests. The drivers were not real happy about being there late and we went through the entire aiport to pick people up. We're arriving on a Sunday night too which may be slower than say a Friday or Saturday night. Not sure my logic and past experience will hold up, but we'll see.

We arrive at 8:11pm, and anticipate checking-in around 9:30. We phoned ME, and they instructed that we should expect our bags that night approximately two hours after check-in. But then they countered, that later at night, there were fewer quests and less luggage, and our bags may be delivered earlier.

Still, we are opting for a limo to hopefully avoid any hassles or delays at that hour. It is well past the Little Delegation's bedtime, and Mrs. Ambassador's cordial hour.

Our plane landed on 10/1 at 6:30 p.m. We checked in at POP Century at 8:00 p.m. and received our luggage at 12:30 a.m. When I called the luggage services dept from our room to inquire as to when we could anticipate getting our luggage I was told to expect to wait 6 hours from the time our plane landed.

We landed at WDW last week at 10:30 pm. I thought my luggage would arrive late that night. I made the mistake of not inquiring about my luggage when I arrived, so I waited up until 12:30 thinking it would arrive at anytime. Finally went to bed and at 8 am the next morning I called to see where my bags were. Bell services said that they had them and would bring them up in 10 minutes. TWO hours later I called again and said my luggage had not arrived and I would like it now! They finally delivered it so we could finish getting ready and go off to the parks. (Had everything in carry ons except my husband's underwear   .) This was at POR where the service was lacking. DME is probably a lot more reliable at other resorts, but I thought I'd share my experience.
