ME - how late can you register?

DH, myself & DS are driving down (and we always have) so have no clue about how the Magic Express works...well have general clues, lol. But DS's friend is flying down a day later and I have no idea when she's going to get me her flight info. I've told her we have to get it in to Disney well in advance, I've told her the 45 day mark is the latest (which is next week) but DS says she's waiting to book the best last-minute deal she can find. ARGH!

So what's the absolute latest we can get the flight info to Disney so she can do ME? I just don't want the situation where she's too late to get on ME so the savings she gets from the last-minute ticket deal goes to paying the taxi fare...TIA

You can arrange DME up to the day before arrival.

She should go ahead and make her ME reservations now, so that she will get her luggage tags in time. She can wait and add her flight info later.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that they don't even really need the arrival flight information, as long as they have the right date. They do, however, need the departure flight information.

If I checked the box for ME when I made the reservation, is that what you mean by being registered without the flight information? It shows that we selected ME on our confirmation (online)

You don't really need all the flight info in order to get DME. They just need your reservation number for your resort stay in WDW.
I would call them and double check, just to be sure the request for DME is in their system. Call Disney and see.
Theoretically, you could call DME the day before you leave home and make a reservation for the next day. But..you wouldn't get the info packet with luggage tags. But you would have the ride booked. They need about 10 days to get the packet out to people.

thanks for the info...we do have it on the reservation that we're using ME on their reservation. Only thing is, DS is arriving & checking in on the 5th...but BFF is flying in on the 6th, so the ME info on there right now says 9/5-9/12 (without the flight info.) Is that going to be a problem, or will it let me change the arrival date when I log back in to put in her flight information?

Trying to save some long distance phone cals to Disney (and the amount of confusing I get talking to CMs who have no more clue than I do, lol.)

It shouldn't be an issue. My dh has arrived the day after me and he had no issue using DME. As long as the arrival is between the first and last days of the reservation it should be fine.
