ME Help

Looking for any helpful hints using ME. We will be going late Aug. and staying at OKW [GV] 6 adults and 3 children, all under 5 years.

Also, if you would comment on any experiences using garden grocer service.

For ME, make sure that you take in your carry-on everything that you will need for the first few hours at WDW. For example, if you plan on going to the pool, take your bathing suits in your carry-on. Plus you may want to carry some sample size (3 oz. or less) suntan lotion in your carry-on. You will want to carry this stuff in your carry-on because it will take some time (3-4 hours) for your bags to be delivered to your room.

ME works great. Just make sure you call Member services to sign up for it. You need to have vouchers to get on the bus. It is all free of charge though. You catch the bus on the lower level of the airport. I believe it is near the car rental area, but not 100% sure on that. I just rememeber going downstairs to catch the bus. Your vouchers will give you directions on where to go and what to do.

We have used garden grocer. It worked great for us. You go online and fill in your order. they will deliver it right to your room for you. there is a small delivery charge if your order is small. I believe if you order around $150-200 worth of goods, then they waive the delivery charge. All the groceries were in excellent condition and the guy that delivered them was top notch. I would highly recommend the service.

You can also sign up for ME on the Member's website. I signed up last week and already received my vouchers!

We used GG last year and everything worked out fine. Made the call as I was checking in and they wer at my door 30 mins later.

Remember if things aren't on their drop down list i.e. beer, ask for them in the comments section and they will also deliver that as well.

We used ME when we were there last in 2005 when they had just started this service. We loved it and had absolutely no trouble at all. In fact we were surprised at how quickly we received our luggage. It was either there before we got to our room or got there as we were getting into our room. I had expected it to take much longer. I know this is not always the case and there are often delays {One family that checked in the same day we did still hadn't received their luggage late that night and so to compensate them, they opened the gift shop and allowed them to all get shirts and necessities, on the mouse!} but I think they do a great job in general!!!

Really? Awesome! I just called to add ME to my reservation. I will have to suse the website in the future since the ME hours are a bit limited.

www.gardengrocer.com They are completely different than what is offered on the DVC site. Anything that you order from that grocery list is basically going to come from the resort gift/food shop...and you'll be paying top dollar for it.
