Does anyone know if the ME for SSR is also used for OKW? Is SSr first? We are staying one night at SSR and then we go to OKW and I was thinking that if there is an ME bus that goes from SSR to OKW maybe we can catch that when we go to switch. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I doubt they'll let you do that. I would just let the resort take care of transfering your luggage, and you can take either the ferry or a bus to OKW. The ferry at SSR runs to OKW too, and you can catch an OKW bus at DTD. Frankly, I'd probably have just one person go over to OKW and check in while the rest get ready for the day. Then the luggage can be sent via bell services, and all of you can go enjoy your day in the parks until your OKW villa is ready.

I think they do group buses by location to the extent they can, but you never know which resorts a DME bus will be going to. It's determined on the fly based on who has checked in for a bus. A few weeks ago, our bus stopped at Old Key West before SSR, then headed to POR. Last year, we stopped at Grand Floridian and Polynesian first before heading to SSR.

You can't get onto a DME bus without a ticket. Mears is only getting paid for ticketed passengers, so would probably tell you to use Disney Transportation. I'm sure they won't give you a reservation for any destination except the airport.

From SSR to OKW your best option is to take a bus or boat to Downtown Disney, then make a connection there. Bell Services can transfer your luggage, so you don't need to worry about lugging that behind you.

(Since the opening of the Treehouse Villas, there is a different boat for SSR and OWK, but they both share the same dock at Downtown Disney.)

Since the Treehouse Villas have opened, it has been reported that SSR and OKW no longer share the ferry boat. Each resort has a dedicated route, with OKW using the old PI dock, no longer stopping at the Marketplace dock.

OKW and SSR boats both go to the PI dock now. It's two separate routes, but you're able to change boats here.

Thanks for the update on the ferry schedules, guys! I guess I knew they had changed that since our visit in May, but I didn't realize they no longer shared the same boat.:thumbsup2
