if we come day a day before our pkg week stay starts and get a room at another resort for the first night(dis propery) is it a problem for arrival and departure at 2 different resorts and 2 reservations ?...

Not at all. We actually have one set up and basically they have us going from MCO to CR then from BC to MCO. Not a problem at all.

awesome. we are not sure of flights and arival times. may come down a day earlier and stay at AKL i night no tix or dining then transfer to WL for a week with tix and DXDP........

you check in your own luggage at departure airport correct. cause we may stay the night at the airport hotel coming back. all depends on flight times. we have a drive to the airport of our choice to get non-transferring flights to MCO.

We normally fly into SANFORD airport and rent a car. never used MCO before. since our local has a non-stop to Sanford. we dont like their luggage pricing etc so we are switching aiports as we dont want to transfer anywhere. had too many close call gate departures/arrivals......

Add one more to the no prob list...
We have done split stays for the last 3 years and used ME each time with no hiccup whatsoever.

Not sure about doing luggage at MCO, we check it at the resort but I am sure it is no problem.

It works the same way leaving by MCO as coming by MCO. When you come to WDW, you can choose to use the luggage tags they send you that will mean they take the bags from the plane and transport to the resort without you having to pick them up at baggage claim, OR you can not use the tags, go to baggage claim when you arrive and get your own bags and carry them on the ME bus yourself. Then when you get off at your resort, they just get your bags out from under your bus and you have them (some people prefer to do this because they don't have to wait for their luggage to show up whenever at their resort.

Going home is similar...Some airlines offer a check-in service at the resort, where you can check your bags, then you won't see them again until you get to your home airport wherever you came from. But you don't have to check your bags using this service. If you want your bags with you, just have them put on the bus when you board ME, then get them off at MCO, then it's your responsibility from there. My guess is that you should NOT use the airline baggage check-in at your resort if you want to have access to your bags at MCO.

This is how it worked the last time we used it in 2011, so unless they have changed, you are good. You can always call ME and ask them :)

We are doing our first split stay this coming trip and are using ME. We have it set up to take us from MCO to BLT and then from CBR to MCO. Each resort reservation has a different ressie number, you will need to set up 2 seperate one way ME services, one for each ressie :).

We are doing this same thing on our upcoming trip, ME will be dropping us off at the Poly and then picking us up at BLT :goodvibes. Enjoy your split stay.

Just booked my first split stay this morning - BWV and AKV. They set it up as two separate one way trips on ME, one for each reservation.
