Arranged Magical Express for arrival and departure. My sister and I have arranged a tour that starts at 5:30pm. My flight is "scheduled" to arrive at 4:12pm. In the event that my flight is delayed (due to inclement weather, quite common in the month of July!) and don't want to waste more time on ME making several stops at other resorts, my sister may come and pick me up from the airport. My question is, can I cancel my seat on ME upon my arrival at the airport or do I need to give advance notice? Do I even need to give notice at all? TIA

I'm not sure of answer but I know it took us 2 hours to get from the airport to Pop Century last year...

That's an unusually long time. I think the average is a little over an hour.

It took us 73 minutes from the time we stepped off the plane until we walked in the door at Pop.

I can't answer your question about ME. However if I read your post correctly you are scheduled to land at 4:12pm and have a tour at 5:30pm. I have to tell you it is virtually impossible to get from the airport to your resort to check in and then get to whatever park your tour is in by 5:30pm. You should look into rescheduling your tour to another day/time.

True. I'm pretty sure that it's about a 45 minute drive from the airport to Disney property. Even if you drove directly from the airport to the park you need to be in for the tour, you may not make it.

If your park tickets are part of a package, you will need to check in at the resort first, which would make it impossible to make it on time.

You don't need to cancel, just don't show up. But, um, what are you planning to do about your luggage?

Oh, right. Should have specified. I am strictly travelling "carry on only" so all my luggage will be with me throughout my journey.

I can't see any reason why you would have to cancel ME, its not like you are holding a spot that someone else could use as if it were an ADR or something.

However, I have to agree with the other posters. I cannot possibly imagine you making your tour 1:15 after your plane lands. I suppose if everything goes like clockwork and you do not have to go to your resort to check-in first (and get your park passes) then you might possibly be able to maybe make it, but man are you going to be cutting it close.

You don't need to tell DME you won't be using them...just go with your sister.
It should take you about 30 mins to get to your resort. Then, you can head to your room, drop off your bag. Then, I would assume that since your sister picked you up at the airport, she is going to wait for you at the resort and then drive to the tour. In that case, it may well be enough time.
If you arrive at 4:12, you should be able to meet your sister by 4:30. Then arrive at your resort by 5, get checked in, stow your bag, and off to the tour. Close but you may make it.
Where is the tour at? And where are you staying?
