ME- can we do this?

We're staying at POP and planned on taking ME from airport. If we're renting a car from Alamo, which is located at the Dolphin, can we take the ME to that hotel instead? Dh has no desire to rent from airport and drive to hotel for anyone wondering why we'd be doing it this way. We'd be returning the car mid trip.

Sorry, No. You can only take DME to and from the resort you have a reservation for. In addition DME doesn't serve the Swan or Dolphin anyway.

Best bet is to take the bus from POP to the Studios and walk or take the boat over to the Dolphin.

Or - if you don't need the car right away pick it up on a day your going to be visiting the Studios or Epcot.

We rent from Alamo/National at the Disney car care center. If you make an advance reservation, and schedule a van pick-up they will pick you up at your hotel and bring you to the car care center. The Dolphin Alamo/National does not provide a van pick up service.
Next week we are taking DME to our hotel, then in the AM renting a car from Alamo/National at the car care center. I will schedule a van pick up for us.

Ok, thanks. I didn't even realize DME didn't go to SWAN/Dolphin. I'm having a hard time booking a car for some reason. I've decided it will be either Alamo or National. For some reason Alamo is cheaper and it's the same company. My real problem is officially deciding between Car Care Center or Dolphin location. I was told you can't bypass the counter if you want to use a coupon when booking.
I also don't want to drag my whole family to the rental place. Dh was just going to go pick it up while I stayed back at hotel with kids. We both want to be auth drivers so I know we have to join their rewards program to have the fee waived. All month I've been checking online watching rates. Today, the CCC doesn't come up as an option for either company . So now I'm really confused. This shouldn't be this hard!

It is generally cheaper to rent from the airport than on site, but with that being said if you rent from the CCC they will pick you up at your resort and bring you back after your rental is over.
When on the Alamo site, click "find a Location",(next to where you enter the pick up location) then United States, then Florida, then Orlando and select the Car Care Center. Or enter the location code which is ORLR72.

Well, funny thing. Now I can find CCC on alamo site, but National still wont bring it up even though they have it listed under their locations. There's got to be something wrong in the system because for the past month it was finding it fine. Now it just says this location is not an option. Date doesn't seem to matter either, so it's not like they're sold out. Very frustrating.....

If you do choose to rent at the Dolphin, you can take a cab there, from POP, for less than $10. Or as mentioned already, bus to DHS and then walk or boat to Dolphin. The Dolphin is about a 5 min ride from POP...very close.
